Dicen que la próxima Ford Ranger será 100% argentina

Ford no renovó su contrato con la brasileña MWM, fabricantes de los motores de la pick-up Ranger actual. La próxima generación, prevista para el 2012, se fabricaría de manera integral en la planta de Pacheco.

La agencia brasileña AutoData reveló ayer que Ford no renovó su contrato con la firma MWM, actual proveedora de los motores que equipan a la pick-up Ranger que se produce en la Argentina. La fuente reveló también que la principal beneficiada por esta decisión es la planta de Pacheco, que a partir del 2012 fabricaría de manera integral la nueva generación de esta pick-up mediana.

El nuevo motor de fabricación argentina sería un diesel de última generación, conocido con el nombre interno de “Tiger”. Lo único que se sabe de él es que mantendrá la cilindrada de 3.2 litros. También habrá un motor naftero adaptado para funcionar con el alcohol, para el mercado brasileño.

Desde el día de su lanzamiento se sabe que el restyling que recibió la Ranger el año pasado es una medida de transición a la espera del nuevo modelo. La Ranger de nueva generación será idéntica para todo el mundo -incluyendo el Mercosur- y se está desarrollando en Japón, en colaboración con Mazda.

El mes pasado, el sitio norteamericano Autoblog publicó estas fotos espía que muestran a la versión de doble cabina, realizando pruebas en Laponia. Paradójicamente, Estados Unidos es el único mercado donde la comercialización de la nueva Ranger todavía no está confirmada.

Donde sí está confirmada su producción para el 2012 es en la planta de Pacheco, siguiendo el plan de especializar a la fábrica de Ford Argentina en la fabricación de pick-ups medianas y vehículos compactos.

La filtración de la agencia AutoData coincidió con un anuncio que Ford Argentina realizó esta mañana: junto a la planta de Pacheco se construirá el llamado "Agrupamiento Industrial", un predio donde se instalarán fábricas de nuevos proveedores con el fin de "mejorar el aprovisionamiento just in time de algunos componentes básicos".

Con respecto al futuro de la planta brasileña de motores MWM, y a pesar de haber perdido a uno de sus principales clientes, su futuro no está en duda. General Motors confirmó que esta firma será nuevamente proveedora de los propulsores 2.8 de la próxima generación de la S-10.

COMENTÁRIOS: O triste é saber que assim como a Hilux/SW4, a Amarok, o Focus, os produtos médios da PSA, o tal modelo vai ser produzido na Argentina, gerando emprego, renda, impostos e divisas LÁ, com 50% ou mais das vendas destinadas ao Brasil.

Isso não é nada bom, Mal dito dia em que montaram este tipo de acordo regional.

Infelizmente não agregaram nada ao bloco, não estão melhorando a vida de ninguem fazendo isso.

Finalmente um produto totalmente novo!! Agora, Argentina...

Vejo que temos de ir as lojas quando compramos carros e primeiramente perguntar onde ele esta sendo fabricado, e com base nisso dar continuidade das negociações, eu sabia que o Clio era feito lá, mas hoje vejo que deveria ter batido o pé por esta questão.

Ford has released the first teaser image of the redesigned Ranger.

Set to debut at the Australian Motor Show, the model will feature a contemporary appearance with "taut, toned" lines. Inside, the company promises a "spacious, comfortable, and feature-filled interior" that will be more carlike than ever before.

Under the hood, a new range of engines will offer "impressive gains in power and fuel economy." While Ford is staying mum on details, previous reports have indicated we can expect a 175 PS (129 kW / 173 hp) 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a 154 PS (113 kW / 152 hp) 3.0-liter TDCi.

The truck will be sold in 180 markets, but the United States won't be one of them. Speaking with Autoblog, Ford's Vice President of Global Product Development, Derrick Kuzak, stated the new Ranger is simply too close in size to the F-150. This means the American Ford Ranger will be put to rest early next year.

The wait is over: Introducing the hot Ford Focus RS

The buzz of excitement surrounding Focus RS has been growing since Ford announced recently that it would be offering a limited number of the legendary hot hatch for sale in Australia.

With only 315 Focus RS models being made available to the clamouring enthusiast community, the Sydney show may be the best place to lay eyes on one. First introduced in Europe last year, Focus RS has won a host of motoring awards and widespread critical acclaim for its outstanding combination of high-performance road car technology and everyday Focus practicality.

The Ford performance story will also continue at the show, with Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) launching its first-ever supercharged V8 engine to be fitted to its hero GT and new GS model ranges.

The new engine is based on the lightweight Mustang V8 but has been developed locally for FPV's Falcon-based performance models.

FPV's supercharged models join its turbocharged six-cylinder F6 range in Australia's most respected high-performance model lineup.

Ford Fiesta range to expand
Visitors to the Australian International Motor Show will see the debut of the newest members of the Ford Fiesta range, with the new Fiesta sedan and diesel models making their appearance.

Available in both diesel and petrol versions, the four-door model will add to Ford's successful Fiesta range and is expected to introduce even more new customers to the Fiesta lineup.

"Fiesta has been extremely successful in Australia," said Burela. "Since its launch in early 2009, Ford's share of the light car segment has grown from 4.7 percent to 8.3 percent. We fully expect that the new sedan and diesel variants will attract even more new customers to the Fiesta range, along with the availability of the new 1.6-litre PowerShift automatic transmission."

Pelo que foi divulgado no plano de investimentos da Ford Argentina, o modelo vai ser feito por lá.

Nova geração da Ranger será vendida em 180 países e o Brasil deve ser um deles



A Ford utilizou o Salão de Sydney, na Austrália para apresentar a nova Ranger. O modelo que segue a tendência das picapes rivais ganhou corpo, mas está menos apta ao trabalho, visualmente falando. O modelo agora tem capacidade de carga de 1,5 tonelada e será vendida em 180 países com três opções de cabine, além de tração 4×4 ou 4×2.

Sob o capô da nova Ranger, o motor mais potente que será oferecido é um bloco da família Duratorq de cinco cilindros e 3.5L turbocharged, movido a diesel que entrega 200 cv de potência 47,8 kgfm de torque. Além desse motor a Ford diz que haverá outras duas opções de motores, sendo uma a gasolina, todas as motorizações virão associadas a uma transmissão manual ou automática de seis velocidades. O Brasil deve ser um dos 180 países a receber a nova geração da Ford Ranger, já que a picape é a mais defasada em design em relação as concorrentes Toyota Hilux, Volkswagen Amarok e Mitsubishi L200 Triton.

All-new Ford Ranger debuts for the rest of the globe

Ford has finally unveiled the not-for-U.S. 2011 Ranger. The company has just pulled the sheets back on its compact pickup at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, and there's no mistaking the newest Blue Oval for anything but a Ford. With its corporate three-bar nose and heavily arched fender openings, the Ranger borrows plenty of cues from the likes of the Edge, but throws in a payload capacity of around 3,300 pounds and engine options with up to 346 pound-feet of torque. The 2011 Ranger will debut in 180 markets with three cab choices, two-wheel and four-wheel drive options and two ride heights.

Under the hood, the most potent engine available will be a stout 3.5-liter Duratorq turbocharged five-cylinder diesel with 200 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of twist, though the company says that there will be a choice of a total of three powerplant options, including one gasoline mill. No matter what engine buyers choose, Ford is serving up six-speed manual and automatic transmissions to handle shifting detail. COMENTÁRIOS: Até que eu gostei... Lamento que como quase todos os outros lançamentos futuros no nosso mercado, vá ser feita na Argentina. Não pela Argentina, mas pelo simples fato de que, se aqui é o grande mercado, É AQUI QUE DEVE-SE INVESTIR EM PRODUÇÃO.

Minha nossa, até que enfim, ja não era sem tempo uma nova ranger.....

Poxa, que evolução! Mas também, com a mesma plataforma há mais de 15 anos não era para ser diferente.

Agora, tanto em desing como no acabamento ela parece ser uma boa concorrente para todas as outras do mercado. Pena não terem dado mais detalhes de desempenho, consumo e segurança.

E chega quando por aqui?

Interessante ver que a Ford realmente tem se esforçado para criar produtos globais. Antes existiam três diferentes modelos de Ranger...

Primicia confirmada: la nueva Ford Ranger se fabricará en Pacheco


Ford presentó este mediodía en Australia la nueva generación de su pick-up mediana Ranger. A tono con la política “One-Ford” de fabricar y vender los mismos modelos en todo el mundo, se confirmó que la nueva camioneta se producirá también en la planta argentina de Pacheco, tal como había adelantado Autoblog.com.ar en abril pasado.

La inversión de mil millones de pesos anunciada por el CEO de Ford, Alan Mulally, a la presidenta Cristina Kirchner permitirá producir una camioneta de última generación, que reemplazará a partir del 2012 a la Ranger actual.

La nueva pick-up se venderá en 180 países y las plantas de producción estarán en Australia, Tailandia, Argentina y Sudáfrica.

El mercado australiano será el primero en recibirla. Saldrá a la venta antes de fin de año con tres motores de nueva generación: 2.5 naftero de 166 caballos, 2.2 turbodiesel de 150 caballos y 3.2 turbodiesel de 200 caballos. Este último es el motor más potente para el segmento de las pick-ups medianas.

La nueva Ranger para el mercado australiano se destaca también por la tecnología de ayuda a la conducción, incluyendo sistemas adaptativos de control de carga, sistema que evita el coleo de los remolques y hasta cámaras traseras para facilitar las maniobras. En Australia se ofrecerá con frenos ABS, control de tracción y control de estabilidad de serie.

Todavía no se sabe cuáles de estos motores y equipamientos se ofrecerán en la Argentina.

Sin brindar más detalles, Ford confirmó que habrá tres opciones de carrocería (cabina simple, cabina doble y casi confirmada una SUV), en combinación con transmisiones 4×2 y 4×4. Para el mercado australiano habrá cajas automáticas y manuales de seis velocidades.

Con respecto a la actual Ranger que se vende en la Argentina, la nueva generación ofrece una mayor distancia entre ejes, que creció tres centímetros hasta llegar a los 3,22 metros.

Según el comunicado de prensa difundido este mediodía por Ford en Australia, la suspensión trasera fue puesta a punto pensando especialmente en el mercado sudamericano: “El eje posterior le brinda a la Ranger un andar firme y estable para un manejo a alta velocidad por caminos de tierra, algo muy común en Sudamérica. La suspensión trasera fue diseñada para reducir los derrapes y deslizamientos sobre superficies corrugadas”.

Para el 2012 también está previsto el lanzamiento en la Argentina de la nueva pick-up Chevrolet S-10 (ver más información). Competirán en el cada vez más reñido segmento de las camionetas medianas de última generación, donde también se encuadran la Toyota Hilux, la Volkswagen Amarok, la Nissan Frontier y la Mitsubishi L200.

Ford revela nova geração da Ranger

Picape estreia em salão da Austrália e será feita na Argentina em 2012

A Ford acaba de mostrar a primeira imagem oficial da nova geração da Ranger, que está sendo apresentada no Salão Internacional da Austrália. O carro será feito na Argentina em 2012, num ritmo de 55 mil unidades por ano, com parte dessa produção exportada para vários países, entre os quais o Brasil. Trata-se de um modelo global que substitui com tecnologia de última geração as duas plataformas produzidas atualmente.

Por dentro, o estilo de acabamento varia, mas todas as partes foram projetadas para ser intercambiáveis. Seus 20 porta-objetos incluem porta-luvas com capacidade para um laptop e um compartimento escondido sob o banco traseiro para equipamentos eletrônicos.

A nova Ranger global introduz três novos motores em sua linha. São eles os Duratorq TDCi I4 2.2 diesel e o I5 3.2 disel e o Duratec I4 2.5 a gasolina, que também pode ser configurado para uso flex, com 100% de etanol, ou gás natural e GLP.

A linha conta também com três opções de transmissão: a manual de cinco velocidades; a manual de seis, acionada por uma alavanca curta, e a automática, tambem de seis marchas. Esta última traz, entre outras novidades, o Grade Control Logic, que reduz a marcha automaticamente em descidas e auxilia a frenagem. Suas tecnologias de segurança passiva incluem, entre outros itens, a disponibilidade de air bags de cortina em todas as versões de cabine, pela primeira vez.
